:o)
i don't even know who reads this anymore, but i need to clear my head before i jump into work again.
i feel so recharged after this weekend... Xiao Wang worked on me Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings, using some traditional Chinese medicinal oils that supposedly are really hard to get at those strengths... quote - "not even movie stars can buy these oils" haha. his diagnosis after the initial tuina massage was that my fuke is all "fuked up" hehe... okay, not punny. also he told AD that he hasn't experience this much toxins in anyone before - greaaat. i don't really know anything about trad. Chinese medicine, so i just went along with it. after all, how bad can massages be, right?
after the first massage, i felt like i got beaten up! it was extremely painful, and Xiao Wang could tell exactly where it hurt too. i tried to ask how he could tell i had so many 'toxins' or 'poisons' in me, and he told AD something like he can feel it in his hands, its like water under his fingers? beats me... but i have felt better after every massage. he's been working on me everyday, and i can say that this morning i woke up feeling loads better. i think (hope, more like) i'm finally out of that depressing funk i've been in for the last several weeks... but we'll see, i guess.
it probably helps that this weekend went smoothly... lots of eating and shopping with AD. and laundry. and breaking glasses, haha. just to recap so i don't forget it...
Sat: woke up way too early and spent the morning reading, electrician and Xiao Chen (?) come and pwn us - but try to fix the short circuit in the bathroom, dim sum all-you-can-eat brunch at Lynn's, short stroll in the sunny weather to the subway, over to Pudong to do some damage at Super Brand Mall, being a shopping assistant for consumerist AD, laughing about the lady who tried to take our cab and then had to get out and we got the cab (hehe), over to ID Hair for an amazing haircut from Leo (pleeease stay at ID Hair after i return to Shanghai!), bus over to Times Square for some Chaterhouse magazining (ouch), then home for foot soaking, herbal oil massage from Xiao Wang, some laziness on our couch, then over to Macao Dollar for our fave 火锅... great way to end the day.
Sun: another early rising, did some internet searching on tuina massage and fuke, short chat w/reid, hilarity ensued, long phone chat w/my parents, yet another all-you-can-eat healthier brunch at Sasha's, strolled over to Billy Wang's, waited forever to get our feet measured (poor guy, the place was so busy and only one staff...), trying to find a bathroom but failing (well, for me haha), a short rest for double espresso - AD and chai latte for me at Jamaica Blue, then home to play guitar and sing while AD went hunting for his Salvatore Ferragamo receipt, mopeded over to the store to try and get his shoes fixed, then home and some Xiao Wang action. not as crazy sore today, but still - yeow!, munching in the kitchen, then some bedtime talk and rolling sleepy eyes, haha...
and now it's Monday. a quick non-sweaty bike ride to work, then i find out i have to give a presentation tonight at Fudan, which is super far away... AD offered to bring my bike back home from work for me... thanks
) and now to finish editing this PS and working on some Yale applications... eep! here begins the long busy week... i really hope i can find some time to study, well, other than my hour long lunch break. ciao~

I'm still reading =)
Reading this makes me want a massage though...
glad to hear that things are going along nicely over there in SH. those massages sound crazy, especially with the super, beyond-movie-star strength medicinal oil! always great to hear that good food is being eaten as well. hopefully there can be a return of food pics in the near future. anyhow, take care and au revoir from redwood city.
Ooh, I was at a nice spa in Jakarta recently and I fell asleep, lol. It was really good though.
Hey, glad to see you are still awesome with xanga!!! Pretty sure you were one of the first to have it too, good job being so dedicated! Glad the massages helped you feel better! Even if it hurt beating up those toxins. Wow, I would have taken my pic with the oils if they were that awesome, haha. I love how your days are always filled with tons of stuff!!! Probably makes for the best xanga updates. Yale, nice! Anyways, have a great weekend and be safe. Take care and Aloha!
Well my dear Cat...it was nice to receive an e-mail from facebook telling me that you waved at me...but alas...I can't check facebook from work any longer.
HOWEVER...I will be updating my Xanga MUCH more regularly beeing that I need to now find NEW ways of procrastinating on company time. I hope to read up on your exploits once in a while...and as always...God bless!
